Why does the print on my Season Ticket fade so often?
While we ensure Season Tickets are as robust as possible, during the course of their life they may become faded or torn, so we offer a free replacement service. The number that needs to be replaced is low compared with the number issued, but it does depend on how a ticket is stored and how often it is passed through barriers. Many ticket offices are now using thermal-printed tickets, following the launch of new issuing machines. The text on these tickets is clearer and, with correct storage (in a ticket wallet) and reasonable care, they should last for up to a year.
