We are always keen to hear from engineers at all levels.  Serving our passengers starts right here in the engineering depots. It's their job to ensure that every train complies with a specific regime of safety checks and maintenance is a vital part of our commitment to improving the overall reliability of our service.

Previous experience in the railway is not essential, however experience of working in a similar industry is desirable. Some positions may require membership of either the IEE (Institute of Electrical Engineering) or the IMechE (Institute of Mechanical Engineering). This will be stated on the advert.

Management or previous supervisory experience will be a requirement for these posts. As will strong communication skills and the ability to write detailed reports.

Electrical/Mechanical Engineers work a 24/7 shift pattern.
