Important information for customers planning to travel to Wembley by train for the FA Cup Semi Final on Saturday 5 April 2008.
Police have warned us that extremely high numbers of fans are likely to attempt to travel to Wembley by train. Extra carriages have been added to our services.
Extra trains
Three extra trains will run from the Portsmouth area to London Waterloo, leaving Portsmouth Harbour station at 0724, 0800 and 0830. These trains will call at Portsmouth & Southsea, Fratton and Havant (the first two will also call at Petersfield).
Planned engineering works will mean longer journey times from Portsmouth to London Waterloo. This, together with the early kick off, means that we may be unable to get everyone to Wembley before the start of the game. See here for a timetable of Portsmouth to London Waterloo on Saturday 5 April.
To avoid disappointment, please purchase your tickets in advance, travel as early as possible and expect services to be extremely busy.
