Buying your Season Ticket at the station
You will need to visit your station if you are a first time Season Ticket customer.
- Any staffed South West Trains ticket office can issue your Rail Only or Travelcard Season Ticket. Car Park Season Tickets can be purchased at the station where you wish to park your vehicle.
- You will need to provide a recent passport-type photograph so that we can issue you with a photocard.*
- To avoid queues, we advise avoiding morning peak times on weekdays if possible.
- Some stations have self-service ticket machines that issue weekly Season Tickets if you already have a photocard.
* Photocards are not required for adult rate Travelcards for journeys wholly within the London Travelcard area.
Renewing your Season Ticket
Monthly and Flexible Monthly Plus Season Tickets
If you are renewing your Season Ticket, you do not need to complete a full application form - a shorter form is available from ticket offices. Some stations have the facility to update your record whilst issuing your new Season Ticket (no form required).
Annual Season Tickets
- To purchase by credit/debit card, contact our Customer Service Centre up to one month before your new ticket is due to start. Calls are charged at local rate. Please allow at least five working days for delivery.
- Post your completed application form with payment (no stamp required) to:
South West Trains Gold Service, FREEPOST (LON1116), Overline House, Southampton SO15 1UAYour renewed Gold Card will be posted to arrive a few days before the ticket start date. Please give a minimum of 14 days notice, but no more than one month.
- Fax your completed application form to 023 80 728187. Please give a minimum of 14 days notice, but no more than one month.
- Renew online.

We accept cash, personal or employer’s cheques†, rail travel vouchers, a rail warrant issued by your employer or any of the following credit or debit cards:

Buying in advance
You might want to buy your Season Tickets in advance to avoid busy times at the ticket offices. Please use the table below to find out how far in advance different Season Tickets can be bought.

* Renewals are when there is no gap between old and new tickets and the previous ticket is surrended; otherwise it will be treated as a new ticket.
