What is it?
PLUSBUS is a bus ticket that is added to most types of train ticket. PLUSBUS gives you unlimited bus travel around town, at the start, the finish, or both ends of their train journey. Each town with a PLUSBUS ticket has one zone covering the whole urban area. You can make as many bus journeys as you like on all participating bus operators’ services within this zone.
Great value
A PLUSBUS ticket can save you money, and is more convenient than buying separate tickets for several journeys. You pay a set amount for each days unlimited bus travel, in addition to your train fare. Prices start from around £2 a day.
Children (age 5 to 15 years) pay half the adult fare to the nearest 5 pence.
Extra savings
With a Railcard (Disabled Persons, Family, Senior or Young Persons) you will save one-third off the price of a day or period return PLUSBUS ticket. It’s ideal for great days-out or weekend breaks to visit your family!
Easy to buy
PLUSBUS is now available at many of our stations for travel around the towns and cities across our network. Ask for PLUSBUS when buying your train ticket at the station (or by telephone) and say whether you want bus travel at the start, finish, or both ends of your train journey.
They can be purchased with Singles, Day Returns, Period Returns and a selection can also be purchased as Season Tickets.
PLUSBUS Season Tickets are available for set periods, to match your train Season Ticket: 7 Days, 1 Month, 3 Months and a Year.
For bus travel at the start of your journey, please purchase your PLUSBUS ticket in advance from a station (or by phone and have it posted to you).
