We have a Customer Communications & Security Centre (CCSC) on our network. This has been purpose-built to look after the well being of our passengers and employees by delivering information, reassurance and assistance whenever needed.
Working in partnership with Transport for London (TfL) we have delivered complete coverage of Help Points and CCTV coverage at every London station, as well as working with many local councils and police forces in crime prevention partnerships.
Help Points
Every South West Trains station has access to a Help Point. Should you need help or information at any time, you can speak directly to our CCSC operators through the Help Points located at all South West Trains stations. All manner of requests are received through our Help Points, from train running and connection information to lost property recovery. You can also report emergency situations or suspicious activity through the Help Points - use the emergency button to speak to one of our CCSC operators, who are in direct contact with the emergency services to offer assistance in these matters.
CCTV
Our CCSC operators also monitor our wide-ranging system of closed circuit television, which covers the majority of our network, both at stations and on trains. This is monitored 24 hours a day as part of our commitment to providing a safer and more secure environment for both customers and staff.
To date, there are 1865 CCTV cameras giving coverage to 134 of our stations. With the introduction of our new Desiro fleet, we now have 1888 cameras on board our trains. The refurbishment of our Class 455 refurbishment is now 50% complete, this will provide an addtional 1456 on board CCTV cameras.
Should you discover any defective equipment at one of our stations, please report it to the Customer Service Centre. This will help us to maintain the level of service you expect from us.
