We are dedicated to educating children and youths about the dangers associated with the railway environment. We employ a dedicated Youth Education Manager whose primary responsibility is to develop and deliver educational programmes to schools in areas where South West Trains operate. Working under the 'Partners Against Railway Crime' banner, we currently educate approximately 55,000 children and youths in our area each year.
Railway Safety Briefings are available free of charge and tailored to your needs. Some of the services that we can offer include:
- Visits to schools, from reception to Year 11
- Year group assemblies, PSHE lessons, classroom activities
- Attendance at Schools Health and Safety weeks
- Work with local community groups (Brownies, Guides, Cubs, Scouts, Cadets, Badgers etc.)
- Attendance at Junior Citizen Schemes
- Station visits
If you would like to book a member of staff to deliver a Railway Safety Brief, please complete our online form.
