Ryde Esplanade Station Improvement Work

Work commenced today (9th January 2012) on a three month scheme to rewire Ryde Esplanade station, the project is being carried out by Southern Electric Contracting on behalf of Stagecoach South Western Trains. The upgrade work will include the removal of asbestos ceiling panels from the station front and bus station areas and complete renewal of lighting throughout the building.

Further enhancement work is planned later in 2012 which will include redecoration, renewal of station signage, seating renewals and upgrade work to the customer information system and public address.
