Booking and advice
Our travel team will help you plan your journey requirements for any rail journey in the UK. Simply book and pay at least seven working days in advance (Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays). For groups over 100, at least four weeks' notice is preferred. The more flexible you are on when you travel the better price you’ll pay. Tickets are subject to availability.
Greater savings for under 18s
With Group Travel child fares are extended to include 16 and 17-year olds. As normal child fares are half the price of the adult fare everyone aged 16 and 17 travels for much less.
Seating and luggage
South West Trains do not operate services with specific seat reservations, and it is therefore not possible to ensure that your group will all be seated together on our train services. Where possible for larger groups (over 50) we will consider if specific seating arrangements can be made.
You will be issued with one ticket to cover the whole group. It is important that you inform us of any additional luggage or special requirements when you book, as space may be limited.
