Hampton Court Palace

Hampton Court Palace

Save up to £2.50 when you go by train!

Henry VIII is most associated with Hampton Court Palace. After he aquired it in the 1520s, it was greatly extended and sumptously decorated, making it one of the most modern palaces in England. When you visit, you will see why Hampton Court became Henry VIII's favourite palace.

Your entry ticket gives you access to:

  • Guided tour by costumed characters, giving you an exciting insight into life in the Tudor Palace. Audio guides are also available if you're unable to join a guided tour.
  • Palace kitchens where you can see the extensive kitchens designed to feed 600 people, twice a day. Live Tudor cookery demonstrations take place throughout the year - you can find the date of the next demonstration here.
  • The Great Hall is England's greatest medieval hall and one of Britain's oldest theatres.
  • Palace gardens where you can walk around 304 hectares (750 acres) of gardens, including the formal Privy Garden, restored to it's 1702 glory; the 'Great Vine' planted by 'Capability' Brown which still produces an annual crop of grapes; and Home Park with ponds and waterways, and home to its royal herd of Fallow Deer.
  • The Maze started in 1690 - is one of the world's most famous mazes - and contains half a mile of pathways surrounded by Yew tree walls.

Hampton Court Palace has some great events taking place throughout the year - why not see what's on when you visit?
