Major Engineering Work
All days - 12 January to 20 March 2015

Major work to repair the railway embankment near Sandown will be carried out between Monday 12 January and Friday 20 March 2015 resulting in the line being shut between Shanklin and Ryde St Johns Road in both directions. A rail replacement bus service will run between Shanklin Station, Lake (High Street), Sandown (Broadway), Brading (Bullring) and Ryde St Johns Station. A revised train service will operate between Ryde St Johns Road, Ryde Esplanade and Ryde Pier Head. Smallbrook Junction will not be served during this time.

Rail ticket holders will also be able to use Southern Vectis Route 2 and 3 service buses between Ryde and Shanklin in both directions.

We are sorry but cycles cannot be carried on the replacement bus services.

Additional coach services will also run on school days only for the benefit of schoolchildren.

View the special timetable. (Updated 5 January. 0619 bus from Shanklin on Mondays to Saturdays will now depart at 0555 and run 24 minutes earlier throughout).
