Catering

On-board catering is provided (in partnership with Rail Gourmet) by an at-seat trolley service on many of our longer distance trains. Our catered routes include London Waterloo to Bournemouth, Portsmouth and Exeter St Davids. Some buffet services are also available on evening peak trains to Bournemouth and Portsmouth.

Did you know, cashless payments, which includes Wave and Pay facilities are now available on all catered trains.

Quiet Zones

These are available on most services and can be identified by the blue labels in the window and the signs on the door. Please respect other passengers wishing to sit in the Quiet Zone by keeping noise to a minimum.

Weekend First Upgrade

Upgrade from Standard to First Class at weekends and public holidays, for just £5.00 per person. Just take a seat in First Class and buy your upgrade from the Guard. Upgrades are available for holders of all Standard Class tickets (except megatrain) and subject to available space.

Mums To Be First Class Upgrade

Making journeys to work a little easier for expectant mothers. Expectant mothers who hold a weekly, monthly or longer season ticket can apply for a First Class Upgrade which allows you to sit in First Class when there are no Standard Class seats available.

To apply, you will need your MATB1 form which is given to you by your doctor or midwife no more than 20 weeks before your due date. To be eligible for the Mums-to-be upgrade pass, please complete our Mums-to-be application form and enclose a copy of your MATB1 and current season ticket.
