Class 158 two-coach trains

Class 158 are diesel multiple (DMU) trains, built for British Rail between 1989 and 1992. They were built to replace elderly heritage trains and locomotive-hauled passenger trains. Class 159 trains are almost identical to Class 158s, some having been converted from Class 158 to Class 159 in two batches.

The Class 421 (or 3Cig) electrical multiple units operate on the Lymington Branch Line from Brockenhurst and provides a connection with the ferry service to Yarmouth on the Isle of Wight.

The Lymington Branch Line is operated as a 'heritage' service using restored slam-door trains.
