Railcards
Railcards offer great value for money if you travel by train saving you 34% on rail travel. In many cases, you can save the cost of the railcard in your first trip! You can buy your most railcards from any staffed ticket office or through our Customer Service Centre.
In addition to discounts on rail travel, you can also save 34% on many add-ons, such as travel in London, PlusBus, ferry services and Rangers & Rovers.
You will need to carry your valid railcard when you travel and present it with your ticket, when asked. You should buy a discounted ticket before you start your journey as our on train staff cannot issue a discounted ticket on the train.
16-25 Railcard

| Railcard restrictions | If you start your journey before 1000 Monday to Friday, a £12.00 minimum fare will apply. The minimum fare does not apply at weekends, public holidays or any day in July and August. |

Senior Railcard

| Which tickets can be discounted? | Standard Class: Anytime, Off Peak, Super Off Peak and Advance tickets First Class: Anytime, Off Peak, Super Off Peak and Advance tickets |
| Railcard restrictions | If you are travelling Monday to Friday and your journey is wholly within the Network Railcard area, a discount is only available when an Off Peak tickets are valid for your journey. The railcard can be used at any time at weekends and public holidays. Please use our journey planner to check whether you can get a discount for your journey. |

Family & Friends Railcard
| Eligibility | Any adult (aged 16+). One adult must travel with at least one child. Railcard can have two named holders.

Network Railcard

| Railcard restrictions | Valid after 1000 Monday to Friday, a £13.00 minimum fare will apply to each ticket. The minimum fare does not apply at weekends, public holidays. You can get a railcard discount on a limited number of services before 1000, as listed here. |
