Biggest ever £10 ticket sale extended for South West Trains passengers

South West Trains has announced that its popular weekend ticket sale will be extended for the next two weekends. ‘Winter Smiles’ tickets can now also be purchased for travel on 8, 9, 15 and 16 March at a bargain price of just £10 same day return per adult, and £5 per child.
The Winter Smiles tickets offer passengers the opportunity to travel to and from any two South West Trains stations across the majority of the network. The Warminster to Bristol Temple Meads line and the Exeter to Feniton line are excluded, but the Island Line is included provided passengers hold tickets to Portsmouth Harbour. The rest of the network covers an impressive amount of territory south and west of London's Waterloo Station - to the coast at Portsmouth and Weymouth in Dorset, into Wiltshire, Hampshire and Berkshire, making the tickets a real bargain.

We hope the extension of the sale over the next two weekends will encourage more people to try the train and enjoy a great day out."
The Winter Smiles tickets can be purchased on the day of travel from any staffed South West Trains station, or from ticket vending machines until 16th March for Ticket Vending Machines or ticket offices. Tickets can also be purchased in advance online at southwestrains.co.uk or by phoning 0845 6000 650.

South West Trains' Summer Fever campaign, which offered discounted week end tickets at £15 to anywhere on South West Trains, has been shortlisted an award by the Institute of Marketing.
