24 hour RMT strike affecting Southern services 22 February

The RMT has announced that they plan further industrial action on Southern services on 22nd February. If the strike goes ahead we expect Southern services to be disrupted.

Southern are currently assessing available resources during the planned industrial action and they expect the amendments to their train services to be showing in the National Rail Enquiries real-time Journey Planner from the morning of Tuesday 21 February.

South West Trains will operate a normal timetable on these days, however, our stations and trains are expected to be much busier than normal, especially on services between Dorking, Epsom and Raynes Park, and from Havant towards Guildford and Portsmouth.

For more information please visit Southern's strike information page http://www.southernrailway.com/your-journey/strike, or follow @SouthernRailUK on Twitter.

Your journey may also be affected by separate industrial action on TfL Underground services, for further information please see https://tfl.gov.uk/

Ticketing Information

Crowd Control Measures at Stations

Train services between Wimbledon and London Waterloo are expected to be extremely busy if the strike goes ahead and queuing systems may need to be put in place to manage the flow of customers through our stations.

Clapham Junction during the morning peak will operate a one way system on platforms 9 and 10 and the subway will be closed, allowing passengers to access the platforms from the over-bridge.

Wimbledon station is also expected to be extremely busy on the strike day, and a queueing system will be in operation. In order to reduce congestion at the station Tramlink services may terminate at Dundonald Road (which is a 5 minute walk from Wimbledon Station). Passengers are advised to check with Transport for London for further details.

South West Trains stations in the Portsmouth and Southampton area may also implement a queuing system if the need arises.

Please allow extra time to complete your journey.
